The "FiberWizards - Professional" Course (54 hrs total), includes an instructor-guided 4-week online phase with live sessions (22 hrs), followed by an advanced 4-day on-site hands-on training lab (32 hrs) focusing on fiber optic cable preparation, installation, termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting, along with project and technical leadership training.

Criteria for FiberWizards - Certified Technician designation includes completion of fiber optics foundations coursework and demonstration of safety practices and proficiency in cable access, termination, closure preparation, splicing, mid-spans, insertion loss, OTDR testing, troubleshooting, and passing a comprehensive test and competency-based practical assessment.

4-week delivered online courseware includes: Interactive and gamified content, readings and quizzes, test simulations, 4 instructor-led touchpoints, remote support and access through a FiberWizards Discord server.

Online Phase: Approx. 5-6 Hours Per Week

4-day (32 hrs) advanced skills lab on-site includes fiber safety, cable prep and installation best practices, termination, hardware installation, closure prep, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting. Additionally, advanced OSP closure management, splicing, and testing, as well as best practices for next gen ribbon and evolving cable systems.

Customers opting for this package are responsible for supplying their own tools, splicing/testing equipment, connectivity items, and consumables for the hands-on labs, in accordance with course requirements, as well as classroom and facilities for onsite training, according to group size.

This option is ideal for customers seeking a partially customized hands-on training experience focused on their preferred network connectivity items, as well as reducing some of the training costs by using their own materials and consumables, only paying for the instructor, courseware, and suitcase lab rentals.
